Land Processed Cod

Cod (Gadus morhua) are both trawl and line-caught in the waters around Greenland. Cod’s flaky white meat has a rich, mild flavor that makes it a favorite fish for consumption.

Shatter-packed fillets

Fillets, skin on or skinless, pin bone in or pin bone out. The fillets are shatter-packed in 15 lb. or 14 lb. blocks, depending on pin bone preference, and graded in the following sizes: 2-5 oz, 5-8 oz, 8-16 oz, 16-32 oz and 32+ oz. Three blocks are packed in a master carton.

Single frozen fillets

Single individually quick-frozen boneless fillets, skin on or skinless. Packed and graded according to order.

Headed and gutted

Whole cod, only headed and gutted, is packed in 24 kg block cartons and frozen. The product is graded in the following sizes: 0-1 kg, 1-2 kg, 2–5 kg, and +5 kg, or specialized according to order.

Whole cod, only headed and gutted, is IQF-frozen and packed in 500 kg containers, or according to order. The product is graded in the following sizes: 0-1 kg,1-2 kg, 2–5 kg, and +5 kg, or specialized according to order.
