Frozen-at-Sea Cod
Frozen-at-sea cod (Gadus morhua) is trawl caught by JFK in the Barents Sea. Cod’s flaky white meat has a rich, mild flavor that makes it a favorite fish for consumption.
Shatter-packed fillets
Fillets, skin on or skinless, pin bone in or pin bone out. The fillets are shatter-packed in 15 lb. or 14 lb. blocks, depending on pin bone preference, and graded in the following sizes: 2-5 oz., 5-8 oz, 8-16 oz, 16-32 oz and 32+ oz Three blocks are packed in a master carton.
Single frozen fillets
Single individually quick-frozen boneless fillets, skin on or skinless. Packed and graded according to order.
Portions
Single individually quick-frozen portions. Portion sizes, grading and packaging according to order.
Headed and gutted
Whole cod, only headed and gutted, is frozen and packed in 12 kg or 24 kg block cartons. The product is graded in the following sizes: 0-1 kg, 1-2 kg, 2–5 kg, and +5 kg, or specialized according to order.
